We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the Developmental Epigenetics Lab – new group led by Dr Michał Gdula.  Developmental Epigenetics Lab  is based at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology & Center of Advanced Technologies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. You will be offered the opportunity to participate in cutting edge research aiming at understanding the role of epigenetic regulation of gene expression in development. Dr Gdula carried out research at Boston and Oxford Universities for 9 years and in his lab he implements the research practices established in those world-leading institutions. The position is funded by the NCN OPUS grant, full-time, for four years, 5000 zł brutto. Deadline: 24th June

We invite you to the lecture organized as part of the Inicjatywa Doskonałości – Uczelnia Badawcza (ID-UB UAM,), which will be given by:

– Aliaksandr Halavatyi (Advanced Light Microscopy Facility, EMBL Heidelberg), entitled:
FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching) technique and applications’.
The lecture will take place on Thursday, May the 5th, at 9:30 in Sala A, Faculty of Biology UAM.
After coffee break, at 10:45 ‘Q&A and project discussion’ will be continued.

– Mark Hink (University of Amsterdam, the Academic Medical Centre, van Leeuwenhoek Centre for Advanced Microscopy (LCAM-AMC)), entitled:
FRET (Förster Resonant Energy Transfer) technique and applications’.
The lecture will take place on Monday, May the 9th, at 8:45 in Sala Parter, Faculty of Biology UAM.

– Mark Hink (University of Amsterdam, the Academic Medical Centre, van Leeuwenhoek Centre for Advanced Microscopy (LCAM-AMC)), entitled:
FLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging) technique and applications’.
The lecture will take place on Tuesday, May the 10th, at 8:45 in Aula, Faculty of Biology UAM.

– Mark Hink (University of Amsterdam, the Academic Medical Centre, van Leeuwenhoek Centre for Advanced Microscopy (LCAM-AMC)), entitled:
FCS (Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy) technique and applications’.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, May the 11th, at 8:45 in Sala Parter, Faculty of Biology UAM.

The lecture will be given as a part of microscopic course organized by ID-UB UAM, programme ‘Transfer Dobrych Praktyk’.
